This is a good argument to put to the Linux vendors like Red Hat, but this
argument won't go anywhere on linux-kernel.  You have to be careful about
what argument you present where.  linux-kernel generally cares only about
the technology and the code, and any sort of argument like the above is
likely to make people *less* willing to look at the code.

If you can't convince linux-kernel and Linus that the code is good, there
are other approaches.  Going through vendors with an argument like the
above is another good approach; if a lot of vendors pick something up, it
tends to make it into the main kernel tree even if Linus isn't overly fond
of it.

linux-kernel, by and large, prides itself on being actively hostile to
commercial, political, and marketing arguments.
