You can have multiple fileservers with read-write data, but you cannot
have the same read-write volume on multiple servers. In other words
I can have my homedir on server A, and you can have your homedir on
server B. But joe cannot have his homedir on both servers A and B.

If server A goes down, I can still access my data but you cannot
access yours. If server B goes down, you can access your data but I
cannot access mine. In either case, we can both access any read-only
data replicated on both A and B.
