I have installed openafs version 1.2.9 on a Suse v8.1 system with
a 2.4.19-64GB-SMP kernel. I have configured the system as a
afs client.
When the afs start up script is run the system hangs right after
installing the kernel module, running the following command:
/sbin/insmod -f -m /usr/vice/etc/modload/libafs-2.4.19-64GB-SMP.mp.o
I'm able to load the kernel module manually, however I get the
following warning message :
# insmod /usr/vice/etc/modload/libafs-2.4.19-64GB-SMP.mp.o
Warning: loading /usr/vice/etc/modload/libafs-2.4.19-64GB-SMP.mp.o will
taint the kernel: no license
See http://www.tux.org/lkml/#export-tainted for information about tainted
modules
Module libafs-2.4.19-64GB-SMP.mp loaded, with warnings
Has anyone else run into this problem? If so, how was it resolved.
Thanks,
Kirti
