[OpenAFS] PATH MTU problem RedHat 9

I just fixed a long-standing problem that one of our AFS users
had when connecting to the AFS servers via a VLAN.  The RedHat 9
server involved was receiving an ICMP packet back from the
Win2k client indicating that the MTU was exceeded.  But the
server didn't do anything about it -- it just kept retransmitting
too-large packets which the client just ignored.

For now, I manually cut the MTU on the server interface and
all is well.

Has anyone else run into this and have a fix?
