[OpenAFS] listing afs directory seg faults

I have successfully compiled and installed afs (from
2004_08_03 CVS) on a redhat enterprise v3 system with
a vanilla 2.6.7 kernel (using the patches from
http://linux.ncsu.edu/projects/openafs-rpms/).

I am now seeing strange behavior from the client.

When browsing thru the afs directory structure I am
able to list the files at will (as is expected) with
the ls command.  However, if I ever pass the -l option
to the ls command, it seg faults.  This only occurs
when I try to list an afs directory.

Has anyone else seen this behavior before?  Any ideas
on what could be causing this or how to troubleshoot
it?
