Hi

Environment: Linux 2.4.9-e.3smp kernel-smp-2.4.9-e.3 kernel-2.4.9-e.3 kernel-smp-2.4.9-e.43 kernel-headers-2.4.9-e.43 kernel-source-2.4.9-e.43 openafs-kernel-1.2.11-rh7.3.1 kernel-2.4.9-e.43 kernel-utils-2.4-6.1.EL OpenAFS: openafs-devel-1.2.11-rh7.3.1 openafs-kpasswd-1.2.11-rh7.3.1 krbafs-1.0.9-2 krbafs-devel-1.0.9-2 openafs-1.2.11-rh7.3.1 openafs-kernel-1.2.11-rh7.3.1 openafs-compat-1.2.11-rh7.3.1 openafs-krb5-1.2.11-rh7.3.1 openafs-client-1.2.11-rh7.3.1 openafs-server-1.2.11-rh7.3.1

I observed following messages in BosLog.old

Sat Aug 14 01:00:48 2004: backupsys exited with code 0 Sun Aug 15 00:50:01 2004: backuprootafs exited with code 0 Sun Aug 15 01:00:22 2004: backupsys exited with code 0 Sun Aug 15 04:00:08 2004: upserver exited on signal 15 Sun Aug 15 04:00:08 2004: fs:vol exited on signal 15 Sun Aug 15 04:00:08 2004: vlserver exited on signal 15 Sun Aug 15 04:00:08 2004: ptserver exited on signal 15 Sun Aug 15 04:00:08 2004: buserver exited on signal 15 Sun Aug 15 04:00:08 2004: kaserver exited on signal 15 Sun Aug 15 04:00:11 2004: fs:file exited with code 0

At 4:00 , Bos restarts all server process

However, servers are running fine. I am wondering whats the meaning of signal 15. It used to exit with signal 0. Anybody through some light on meaning of signal 15.

Thanks

raghu
