That doesn't surprise me :)  I'm somewhat new to Mac OS X, Kerberos, 
*and* AFS.  You might say I'm in over my head !

I thought I had tried that and it didn't work.

Hmmm, perhaps this is where I made my mistake.  I was under the 
impression that with 10.3 /Library/Preferences/edu.mit.Kerberos was/
could be replaced with a /etc/krb5.conf file?
