Do you have the Freelance mode enabled on the 1.3.64 client? (The =
default) If so, that is the difference. Freelance does not tie your =
machine to a particular cell. You can still go to any of the other =
cells directly, but they will not appear until you attempt to access =
them.
If the machine will always be on the network and you want the same =
behavior as the 1.2.2b client, turn off freelance mode.

Subject: [OpenAFS] Newbie Question
I have recently started working with afs from the windows side of =
things here at ASU. I am seeing some differences on a couple of =
machines and I am not sure why. I would appreciate any help.
Both machines are Windows XP Pro. One is a laptop.
One of them is running version 1.2.2b client. I know this is old but =
it has been on my machine for quite a while. On this machine I have a =
mapping to \afs. When I open this mapped drive, I see a list of 13 =
cells. =20
.asu.edu
andrew.cmu.edu
apple.com
asu.edu
athena.mit.edu
cmu.edu
grand.central.org
inre.asu.edu
pitt.edu
rose-hulman.edu
rpi.edu
transarc.com
umich.edu
On my laptop I just installed version 1.3.64. I map the same drive to =
\afs. However, when I open this one up I only see asu.edu. Why can I =
not see the other 12?
Another question I had came up during the install of 1.3.64. What is =
integrated logon and what is the difference in high security integrated =
logon?
