Dear OpenAFS developers,
I need to be able to connect my laptop to the AFS infrastructure. The laptop runs Debian/testing with vanilla Linux 2.6.7 kernel. I found that the AFS support in the kernel is premature, so I tried to install the openafs-modules, found that it will not work, read the list, downloaded latest daily snapshot from CVS and started playing.
I was not able to make it work (thus I'm writing you :) ) - when I insmod the libafs module, dmesg says:
libafs: module license 'unspecified' taints kernel.
libafs: Unknown symbol sys_call_table
libafs: Unknown symbol sys_call_table
Failed to find address of sys_call_table
Following the recomendations on the list, I added
EXPORT_SYMBOL(sys_call_table);
into
/usr/src/linux-2.6.7/arch/um/sys-i386/ksyms.c
Then recompiled the kernel, rebooted, recompiled the OpenAFS and - no change.
Any help or duggestion will be greatly appreciated ;-)
and thank you guys for developing the AFS.
best regards
0ndrej
