Ok, I removed the kernel module, but it's still the same:

plmcvs root # cd /usr/afs/bin/
plmcvs bin # ./bosserver -noauth &
[1] 8880
[1]+  Done                    ./bosserver -noauth
plmcvs bin # ./bos setcellname host.name.edu cell.name.edu
bos: a pioctl failed (getting tickets)
bos: running unauthenticated
bos: failed to set cell (communications failure (-1))

(I forgot -noauth... anyway it's ok)
