[OpenAFS] ICMP packets

That message is in the first 2 packets when my XP client asks for a token
from the server. (ie the client sends "ERROR: Problem at version: wrong type
for that item" in the first packet and the server responds with the same
Info in the response packet.

Yes it is ethereal.

http://www.sebby.org/afs/afs-and-firewalls-lisa2002-6up.pdf states that the
Win 2K client does use port 88. It does work.

The message is generated when I "discard these tokens" and "obtain new
tokens" using the windows AFS client GUI.

I don't see any other packets. UDP ports 7000-7010 are open at the firewal

ERROR: Problem at version: Wrong type for that item

Provides tokens that work for admin.

Port 88 should probably actually be called "kerberos". It's used
for both k4 and k5, and as it happens kaserver services k4 requests
on both port 88 and 750 (as well as for rx on port 7004).

I'm not sure where that error message comes from -- I believe kaserver
should say "packet version number unknown". Might be nice to know more
about
how that message was generated or recorded.
