Hello all,

I'm encountering a problem on my server.
The uname is: "Linux arrakis.xxx.xxx 2.4.20-31.9smp #1 SMP Tue Apr 13
17:40:10 EDT 2004 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux"

It's RedHat 9 with some packages updated to fedora core. I have openafs
1.2.11 installed from the rpms and it's been working fine for months.
Recently, when I try to start afs I get:

[root@arrakis vicepa]# service afs start
Found libafs-2.4.20-19.9-i686.mp.o from SymTable... Loading...
Starting AFS services.....
afsd: All AFS daemons started.
afsd: Can't mount AFS on /afs(22)

The following is printed to root's window while logged in every few
seconds:

FSYNC_clientInit temporary failure (will retry): Connection refused

Any ideas on what would cause this and what to do about it? Thanks for any
help.

-James

PS I'd like to update to 1.3.64 but failed to do so building from source
(operator error). Is it possible for someone to build rpms for 1.3.64 that
are compatible with the 1.2.11 structure? I spent some time looking into
how to do this as well and failed to find anything useful.
