[OpenAFS] Status on 2.6 Kernel?

of course i depmodded. 

modprobe /usr/vice/etc/whateverthenameofthemodulewas.ko

i get 
module not found. same way i do if a module is built for the wrong
kernel.

looks like i got arla working mostly. just had to build a new kernel
module for 2.6.8
