[OpenAFS] Planning advice requested for AFS server migration.

Currently, we are running 4 old AIX 4.3.3 servers (DB servers and File
servers) with the almost latest IBM AFS 3.6, and one temporary Linux
Fedora Core 1 Fileserver running OpenAFS 1.2.11. I am planning to
replace them with 3 newer Linux servers.

So, the conservative in me says "install FC1 and 1.2.11" and migrate the
DB servers one at a time, and then move the AFS volumes.

Or should I be brave, go for FC 2 with a 2.6.8+ kernel and OpenAFS
1.3.7x (and still migrate one at a time - I want as little downtime as
possible, and I'm not in any rush.) PAGs aren't important on the
servers, but I do required total stability since this is production AFS.

Thanks for any advice or warnings.

Steve
