[OpenAFS] application error message with Windows XP

I've put the "afsd.log" and "afsd_init.log" files from my laptop at
"http://home.fnal.gov/~wehmann/openafs/".  The former has a "Date
Modified" date of 8/16/04; the latter has today's date for "Date
Modified".
