[OpenAFS] Debian install problem: ptserver won't start

Now, that would have been good of me to include in the original email :-)
Here are the contents of /var/log/openafs/PtLog:
ptserver: running unauthenticated
54689) Couldn't get server list
I searched on that error message before, but couldn't see any other
reports of this.
