[OpenAFS] AFS Windows client: problems with colon character in file names

A user of our AFS cell uses both UNIX/Linux and Windows clients (1.3.71)

On UNIX/Linux sistems he has created a large amount of files having a colon 
character ":"  in the file name.

He can read these files from the AFS Windows client but he is unable to create 
new files with colons in the file name from the Windows system.

Is there any solution?
