[OpenAFS] Slow read speed from server

Hi,

I am running OpenAFS 1.3.83.  The server and clients have a kernel
2.6.11.  I am experiencing slow read speeds from the server on large
files, on the order of 200KB/s.  Writing a large file to the server is
very fast, megs per second.  The server is a dual PPro 200 with vicepa
housed on a reiserfs soft-RAID1.

My client options are:
-stat 4000 -dcache 4000 -daemons 6 -volumes 256 -files 50000

Would adding e.g. -chunksize 20 make a difference here?  What else would
cause such an asymmetry?
