[OpenAFS] Kernel Module problem

Hi all, can anyone tell me what's the difference between
MODLOAD-2.4.27-MP and MODLOAD-2.4.27-SP, because I'm upgrading the
kernel to 2.4.31, everything builds fine, then I go to the openafskernel
directory, then I configure, make, and a directory MODLOAD-2.4.31-MP is
created, but after I change the Symtable and reboot the machine, the
client crash and I can't start the host with afs, it seems that the only
module that can boot is the one that end without the mp extension... so
... can anyone give me a hint?
