Sorry for the delay, it's getting late here.

According to chas williams - CONTRACTOR:

With the addition of "ctrun" (with and without the stack size change in
"/etc/system"), it's now possible to run "svcs -p" at will while AFS is
running and launched automatically.

But, things are unfortunately not OK yet.

"svcs -p" seems to be the tip of the iceberg, the machine also panics
with "ctstat -v" (whether AFS was started automatically or not).

Running "ctstat" works fine but running "ctstat -v" triggers a panic,
the stack trace looks very similar to the one seen before:
with "ctstat -v":
 contract_process_status+0x126(c4019640, fed43330, 2, c326c3c8, c3626e7c,=
 100000)
 ctfs_stat_ioctl+0x9d()
 fop_ioctl+0x1e(c4ad9780, 63747300, 8064510, 102001, c3e7d880, c3626f80)
 ioctl+0x199()
 sys_sysenter+0xdc()

with "svcs -p":
 contract_process_status+0x126(d1411c40, fed43330, 2, d0f10348, d0aa4e7c,=
 100000)
 ctfs_stat_ioctl+0x9d()
 fop_ioctl+0x1e(d1c21300, 63747300, 809dd88, 102001, d12ced90, d0aa4f80)
 ioctl+0x199()
 sys_sysenter+0xdc()

Thanks a lot for your help.
