We're currently testing a new installation of=20
OpenAFS Server (our current production AFS server=20
is TransArc) with various OpenAFS clients on Windows XP SP2.

All our tests have been working great except for=20
the 1.4.1 client when opening, editing, and=20
saving large files from/to AFS space. I have a=20
large (>9MB) Word document that is in AFS=20
space. I open it, make a small change to it and=20
save it back into AFS. The small floppy icon at=20
the bottom of the MS Word window never stops=20
oscillating and eventually (~45 seconds later), an error pops up stating:

Windows - Delayed Write Failed : Windows was=20
unable to save all the data for the file=20
\~WRD1718.tmp. The data has been lost. This error=20
may be caused by a failure of your computer=20
hardware or network connection. Please try to save this file elsewhere.

Client version 1.3.73 works great when doing the same test.
Client version 1.3.87 works, but it's slow.
Client version 1.4.2 Beta 3 also works, but it's slow.
Client Version 1.5.05 Beta reports the error: Disk is full

Does anyone have an idea why this is happening=20
and more importantly, what version should I run=20
or what can I do to allow 1.4.1 to run?

Thanks!

Charles
