[OpenAFS] Upgrading 1.2.11 fileserver to 1.4?

Been there, done that, got no t-shirt.
But apart from that it worked well.

In case you are migrating database servers, you should make a backup
copy of theier db-files first. I ran into a little bit of trouble
syncing databases. My PT-Database disappeared magically ....

Migrating fileservers is just exchanging binaries.

Recently I moved 4 servers from 1.2.9 on FC1 to 1.4.0 on SL4. (3 of them
are dbservers too.)

/vicepa was on an external SCSI-Raid. I disconnected it physically and
reinstalled the whole system (one server after the other). After that I
reconnected the raid and it worked flawlessly.
