Speaking only for myself, I'd actually like to increase the frequency of
stable releases a bit when we have known bugs that have been fixed in the
stable branch.  In this case, there were some butc problems that went
undetected until after the release as well as a few more Linux build
issues with bleeding-edge kernels and the bits that Derrick mentioned.
