[OpenAFS] pam

I'm running FC5 with kernel 2.6.20-1.2307.fc5smp and am trying to get
openafs 1.4.4 working with my setup.  I can klog at the command line
and access afs fine, but I can't seem to get tokens at login.
Searching through my logs, I see the following repeated many hundreds
of times:

 crond[14152]: PAM adding faulty module: /lib/security/pam_afs.krb.so
 crond[14203]: PAM unable to dlopen(/lib/security/pam_afs.krb.so)
 crond[14203]: PAM [error: /lib/security/pam_afs.krb.so: cannot
restore segment prot after reloc:
Permission denied]
 crond[14203]: PAM adding faulty module: /lib/security/pam_afs.krb.so
 crond[14248]: PAM unable to dlopen(/lib/security/pam_afs.krb.so)
 crond[14248]: PAM [error: /lib/security/pam_afs.krb.so: cannot

...

any hints?
