I think I'd recommend against doing that. The question you should ask
yourself is why you want mailman's data to live in the shared filesystem
instead of on the server's local disk. There are quite a few practical
reasons why doing this is hard, not the least of which is arranging for all
of mailman's components to run with the required credentials.
OpenAFS's lists are managed by mailman with storge on the mail server's
disk. The list configuration data and archives are rsync'd into AFS on a
nightly basis; you can find the latter in
/afs/.grand.central.org/archive/pipermail
