Correct. We use the namei and our vice partitions are now in ZFS.
Note the OpenAFS distributions:

was built with:

./configure --enable-transarc-paths \
             --with-krb5=yes \
             --enable-namei-fileserver \
             --enable-largefile-fileserver \
             --host=sparc-sun-solaris2.10
