vos changeaddr -remove the address; if it fails, use vos changeaddr to  
change to something bogus; see afterwards what volumes think they are  
bound to the bogus address with vos listaddrs and then use vos  
changeloc(*) to fix

* - vos syncv won't help: the bogus server isn't up to say the  
volume's not there
