[OpenAFS] /usr/afsws convention

I'm looking at tidying and standardizing my $PATH across systems, and
I had a question about the /usr/afsws path. Is the /usr/afsws
convention considered "deprecated"?

I've already got symlinks from /usr/afsws to
/afs/cellname/@sys/usr/afsws. I also have /afs/cellname/apps
symlinking to @sys/usr/afsws.

I would like to pick one path on which to standardize. Should I use
/usr/afsws/bin everywhere, or /afs/cellname/apps/bin everywhere?
