What do you mean here?  Are you going to remove the ability to create and 
mount, or use submount names from AFS?  What problem does this cause for 
the client?  The use of submount names is a bonus that allows 
abstraction.  Abstraction is always a "good" thing.  Have I misunderstood 
your sentence or taken it out of context?
