Subject: [OpenAFS-devel] ShowTrayIcon Still Being Reset When Starting AFS_C=
onfig On Windows 7 64-bit

To whom this may concern:

I just loaded the latest OpenAFS Windows 64-bit client, 1.5.9902, and it ap=
pears that RT 128591 is still not fixed, even though the change log says ot=
herwise.

After installing the code (on a clean Windows 7 64-bit machine), I opened a=
fs_config, made a change, then closed it. I then opened regedit, and found =
that the "ShowTrayIcon" value under "HKCU\Software\OpenAFS\Client" was rese=
t to 0. It appears this value is still being hard reset even though the GUI=
option is no longer present in Windows 7.

As I am not sure where to send this bug report, I'm posting to both DEVEL l=
ists; I apologize ahead of time for the cross-posting.

Michael Cohen
