    If you enable Freelance mode the service will start without access
    to the root.cell volume.<br>

    Your problem could be the afsd_service is starting before you have
    network access, or it could be due to a lack of austin.ibm.com vldb
    servers in the CellServDB file, or any number of other things.=C2=A0=C2=
=A0
    Running without Freelance mode is only supported for environments
    that ensure that the root.cell volume will be available at the time
    of service start.<br>
