[OpenAFS-port-darwin] iBook tokens problems

I'm having trouble getting a token on my new iBook, and I can't, for the
life of me, figure it out.

I installed and successfully got a token with 1.2.2 and 1.2.2a on an old
clam-shell 366 iBook.  However, on a new (non-clamshell) iBook, I am unable
to get a token.  I installed the new package and am able to see afs cells,
but klog returns the following error when I try to get a token:

Unable to authenticate to AFS because authentication server was passed a bad
ticket.

Has anybody experienced a similar problem, or have any idea why this might
be happening?  I must have installed OS X (10.0.x and 10.1.x), using both
the iBook distribution cd and a generic OS X cd, at least 50 times in the
past few days, but sadly to know avail.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
