Nobody is really testing the cvs head or snapshots. The macos development 
and testing are being done on the openafs-stable-1_4_x branch. 
Unfortunately, no snapshots are made from this branch, so you have to fetch 
it with cvs.

I'll let the gatekeepers know that the HEAD isn't building.
