We were seeing this on our two iMac Core 2 Duo machines about once a
week.  But strangely, the machines stopped crashing - one hasn't
panicked since November 14, the other since December 16, and they're
public lab machines, so it's not like they don't get any use.  I
applied the patch Derrick suggested to one of them, but it hasn't
panicked since and I haven't been able to give him any more info.

The only other AFS-related weirdness we notice is sometimes the
machines hang for about 2 minutes on login, but this is again
intermittent, and you can't SSH into the machines while this delay is
occurring.
