Hrm, I am not sure what arm has to do with any of this.  Could you
clarify?

The compile error arises as a result of nothing more than attempting to
cross-compile with an intel-macos-10.4 target and an intel-macos-10.6
host.  If it helps, just ignore the fact that Apple TV is involved in
any way.
