Don't be deceived by the param files.  The 5.x client does not work.  But if
you get Garrett's patch it's close.

The OpenAFS threading is an abomination.  It needs to be replaced by kernel
threads, which all modern BSDs have, and probably all other OSes too.  But
it's a fair amount of work and not something I'll be doing any time soon.
