As others have posted, the afsweb module can be used for ACL based
authentication.

That being said, it isn't trivial to get the AFS module to load into a
recent Apache distribution.

The Transarc documentation at
http://www.transarc.ibm.com/Downloads/afs/HTML/afsweb06.htm#Header_22
is no longer correct.

If you want to add this module, you have to do a bit of hacking.
