I have a user who installed OpenAFS 1.4.0 on his Windows XP SP2
system. He can successfully get tokens and tickets against our MIT
KRB5 KDC.
However, nothing shows up in the mapped drive on his system despite
the fact that files exist in that directory.
One thing that is curious and may be part of the problem is that he
initially put the wrong mapping in. His mapping should be:
/afs/iu.edu/r/n/rnourie
but he initially put it in as:
/afs/iu.edu/r/i/rnourie
However, the submount listing still shows
auto1 \afs\iu.edu\home\r\i\rnourie
auto2 \afs\iu.edu\home\r\n\rnourie
rnourie \afs\iu.edu\home\r\i\nourie
notice that mounts auto1 and rnourie still point to the original
mapping.
He has tried deleting all the submounts as well as all the drive
mapping explicitly and then adding the correct drive mapping back in.
However, he still can't see any files in the drive and the erroneous
submounts still keep coming back everytime he logs in or reboots.
Any clues as to what the problem is and how to get rid of the
submounts assuming they are part of the problem?
THanks.
