[OpenAFS] 1.4.3 build failure under Solaris 9

This almost sounds like the compiler is producing something the linker
can not handle. You said the compiler was SunStudio11. But what version
is ld?

For what it is worth, the OpenAFS 1.4.4 sun4x_59 distribution was built
on a Sun-Blade-100  using the
cc: Sun WorkShop 6 update 2 C 5.3 patch 111679-09 2002/11/12
and Solaris Link Editors: 5.9-1.397
