About OpenAFS-elders

This list is for private discussion amongst the members of the OpenAFS "Council of Elders" -- the advisory board convened by IBM Transarc Labs to provide overall direction to the development of OpenAFS. This is a closed list -- subscriptions require approval from the list adminstrator, and only current subscribers may post without moderator approval. Only current members of the OpenAFS "Council of Elders" will be permitted to subscribe to this list. If you are not a member of the Council of Elders, please do not send subscription requests; the vast majority of work done by GRAND.CENTRAL.ORG postmasters consists of rejecting subscription requests for private lists. If you are a current subscriber and your outgoing mail normally comes from an address other than the one with which you are subscribed, send a note to the list maintainer to get added to the list of authorized posters. Using OpenAFS-elders

To post a message to all the list members, send email to openafs-elders@openafs.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.

Subscribing to OpenAFS-elders

Subscribe to OpenAFS-elders by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list administrator. You will be notified of the administrator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the members list is not available to non-members. Your email address:   You must enter a privacy password. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext.
