The whole point of an "unincorporated association" is it's a thing you do
by ... associating, not by filing something. So it's empirically true.
We associated. The records are "the people who associated, associated".

It exists somewhere. I wrote it. I can look around, but, no promises. It
was patterned upon the model of the "Cartel", which started as a group of 4
Kerberos- and AFS- using schools (CMU, Michigan, MIT, Stanford), expanded
to include Cornell and then UWash, and then Duke, and then contracted over
time... and I attempted to learn from their mistakes. I failed. I was
wrong. I apologized for this publicly. But that charter certainly exists.

it wasn't a petition. i was being paid nothing. no one was given a choice.
i am an autonomous individual, apparently one whose work was valued so
poorly that i was assumed to be an automaton to be commanded, at least what
i gather from the tone here.

When you have $0 to spend on things, when someone steps up and builds tools
to host things, you let them do it. The price is right.

I'd like a pony.

Your questions assume a lot of formal structure that didn't exist, which
was the point of the foundation needing to exist.
You got a horse and now you ask about the cart. There was no cart. People
were hauling shit in bags on their backs.

My back has a crook in it from that which I will bear forever, and I resent
the implications of malfeasance that I feel is thinly-veiled here.

I'm certainly a person who has some of this, and I don't actually know how
much of it exists outside the various Elders and/or Gatekeepers mailbox. If
you want it, I'll share what I have as I find it, but it's hardly a high
priority for me right now. With an impending divorce and the run-up to
surgery that's in doubt, my life is rather crammed with stuff just now.

if you want to get a drink(*) with me and ask things, i'm perfectly willing
to be frank. but i can say the tone of this email has me rather on edge.

* - probably tea, or maybe a milkshake. i've not really been having much
alcohol these days, and i am a lightweight anymore anyway.
