-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
OpenAFS 1.2.2a is now available for download from the openafs.org web site
and in the openafs.org AFS cell.
The only changes above 1.2.2 are specific to Darwin 1.4/MacOS X 10.1 and
to both Windows ports. The Windows changes are as follows:
1. Windows NT/2000 Fixes
Auto LANA Number can be disabled or enabled through the AFS Client
Configuration dialog. The user no longer needs to manually change the
registry entries.
2. Win9x Fixes
Patch install script to place the AFS Control Panel icon on the desktop
and program menu.
3. Build changes for Windows
Building 'media' no longer builds the whole project.
4. Security enhancement for AFS client on multi-user Windows 2000
machines
Tokens are now associated with a random username to prevent abuse of
the SMB share by other users.
5. AFSDB and Freelance client (no home cell) support are now included.
The Darwin changes are only those necessary to get the existing port to work
properly with the new versions of Darwin and MacOS X.
There are no changes for other platforms; If you are not building for
Darwin 1.4/MacOS X 10.1 or any Windows platform, your 1.2.2 release is
still current.
As always, the latest release can be found at
http://www.openafs.org/release/latest.html
Thanks to:
Chaskiel Grundman for the MacOS X / Darwin binaries
Jim Peterson for the Windows 95/98/ME and Windows NT/2000 binaries
