[OpenAFS-announce] OpenAFS 1.5.39 released (Production Version for Windows; Test Version for other platforms)

1.5.39 is the recommended production-ready release of OpenAFS for
Microsoft Windows users.  It supports all Microsoft Windows operating
systems from Windows 2000 through Windows Vista SP1 and Windows Server 2008 
including both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.  The 1.5.39 release
continues the recent efforts at optimizing the performance of the
Windows client and improving its scalability.

For UNIX, Linux, and MacOS X the recommend production-ready release of
OpenAFS is 1.4.7.  The 1.5.39 Windows client is fully compatible with
all AFS server versions.

Windows:

There were no 1.5.37 or 1.5.38 releases for the Microsoft Windows platforms.
The 1.5.36 client has proven to be very stable with zero Windows Error Reports
filed during the nearly seven weeks since its release.  This production release
is a minor bug fix release with no new features.  Changes since 1.5.36 include:

* Fix two memory leaks

* Fix one missing lock

* Handle access denied errors when writing dirty buffers

* Fix two errors that would cause the *experimental* AFS Servers
  to crash.

All platforms:

* Updates for Demand Attach fileserver.

This release is the recommended production release for all 
Windows environments.
