All versions of OpenAFS between 1.7.16 and 1.7.19 when deployed on
Windows XP or XP64 or Server 2003 without either MIT Kerberos or Heimdal
Kerberos will result in a BSOD during logon. The BSOD is the result of
a NULL function pointer being accessed in winlogin.exe which causes the
process to terminate prematurely. XP, XP64, and Server 2003 will BSOD
in response to a premature termination of winlogin.exe.

Systems that have MIT KFW or Heimdal installed are not affected.

Systems that have Vista, Win7, Win8 or the Server 2008, 2008-R2 or 2012
operating system are not impacted.

This issue will be addressed in 1.7.2000. Thanks to Sam Hokin and Terry
Wood for the bug reports and assistance in isolating the root cause.
