Linux does provide a FS-specific structure in struct inode. We could
try using u.generic_ip, which is a void*.
I had considered using this in my original port but decided I didn't
want to try to merge AFS' and Linux's ideas of who owned the inode.
Nowadays I acknowledge that that was a bad long-term decision. Ah
well, hindsight is 20/20 :)
