Oh yes, forgot to mention that I applied the patches from
https://lists.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-info/2000-December/000126.html
and
https://lists.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-info/2000-December/000140.html

(I have not checked if they are already applied to the current openafs
version).
