[OpenAFS-devel] OpenAFS 1.2.6 Release Candidate 1 now available for testing

A compressed tar file of OpenAFS 1.2.6-rc1 is now available at:
http://www.openafs.org/dl/openafs/testers/openafs-1.2.6-rc1.tar.gz
Changes include:
- Compilation errors on Solaris 9 and Redhat Linux 7.3 with the
2.4.18-5 kernel should now be fixed.
- The client should now compile on Solaris 7 and 8 x86.
- "fakestat" support had been integrated, and can be enabled by
starting afsd with the -fakestat command line switch.
- .__afs temporary files should now be created and removed properly on
Linux.
- Deadlock problems on Linux clients due to lost wakeups should now be
fixed.
- "vos listaddrs" is now capable of printing UUIDs.
- The Linux client has gcpags support, which is disabled by default.
- Darwin/MacOS X clients will no longer syslog excessively when long
running applications are run out of AFS.
- The Kerberos-aware AFS pam module is now built correctly.
- Solaris 7 and 8 clients will now properly check for 32-bit file size
limitations.
and several other bug fixes.
Please try out this candidate release and report your findings.
