Just a quick thought. Since the volume salvager does not run every time you start the file server, is it possible that the volume had been damaged prior to installing the new code with the ihandle.c patch? Doing a "/usr/afs/bin/salvage -force" twice, making sure the second one is clean, will verify it is clean in case of further trouble. Ted Anderson
