A compressed tar file of OpenAFS 1.2.7-rc3 is now available at:
http://www.openafs.org/dl/openafs/testers/openafs-1.2.7-rc3.tar.gz
(rc2 was tested internally, and never announced)
Changes from the last announced release candidate include:
- Integration of FreeBSD support from OpenAFS CVS mainline.
- namei fileserver and salvager should now build and work on AIX.
- The ptserver now more tightly acls the dumpentry operation.
- When possible, instead of using afs system calls for donated context,
linux kernel threads are created and the system calls made by afsd
now return.
- Shared library versions of libafsrpc and libafsauthent are now built.
Please try out this candidate release and report your findings.
