Hmmm. Running ./configure-libafs in libafs_tree is rewarding me with 

  configure-libafs: error: source directory already configured; run "make
  distclean" there first

Which doesn't seem right -- if I copy the libafs_tree elsewhere, and run
make distclean, I then get 

   config.status: error: cannot find input file: src/libafs/Makefile.in

(I pointed srcdir at the now-clean source directory.)
